Coaching for Career and Life
Ready to draw back the curtain and explore what you really want for your future?
Coaching is a conversation like no other! A skilled coach is somebody who partners with clients in order to empower them to make changes in their lives by helping them to explore their current thinking and recognise pattern as well as how to design, meet and sometimes exceed meaningful goals in their personal or professional lives.
How do I know that a coach is fully-qualified and experienced?
As a Master Certified Coach (MCC) with International Coaching Federation jigsaw.coach, Caroline Beckett has completed more than 500 hours of training and 2500+ hours of coaching with clients; this places her in the top 5% of coaches globally. She also holds a Global Individual Accreditation (EIA) at Senior Practitioner Level with European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).
Dedicated to her own professional development, Caroline has undertaken mentor coaching from other well-qualified and experienced MCC coaches, as well as attending regular supervision around her own competencies, practice, skills and performance. When choosing a coach it is important to consider not just their qualifications, but also how much they invest in their own professional development in order to ensure they are can provide the best possible experience for their clients.
How does coaching work?
Coaches work hard to hone their observational, listening and questioning skills and are able to partner with clients through explorative, reflective and often transformational conversations to get them from where they are to where they want to be. By offering a safe reflective space with permission to challenge, coaches prompt exploration of the client’s current situation, their options and how they can design action to enable them to move towards their goals.
What happens in a coaching session?
Coaching sessions need to be fluid in order to meet the unique needs of each client and a masterful coach is always adaptable. To give you an idea of how coaching conversations work, sessions are often – though not always – designed around the following pattern:
- Review of previous session
- Discussion of topic/goals for the session
- Explore current situation
- Consider options, different points of view, consequences
- Decide on a course of action
- Clarify expectations and accountability.
Ultimately, a coach like Caroline will partner with you, help you to face your challenges, explore what options you have and support you on your journey.
With more than ten years’ experience across cultures, contexts and continents, Caroline has experience coaching clients all around the world in locations as far apart as Chile and China – and many countries in-between! She has had the pleasure of working with individuals, SMEs and large Multinationals as well as in the not-for-profit and governmental sectors.
